You can get one of those EOBD bluetooth plugs, and connect your phone to it with the Torque app. It'll let you scan for codes AND remove them!

I'd say that the engines are good. I'm a Mitsubishi tech, and most engines we use in the Colt models are Smart engines, and they really NEVER ever break. As for the rest of the vehicle, I'm not experiences with them, so you'll have to ask someone else =)
