I'm a guy at 25 with polands syndrome. Reading what your daughter has been through I want to tell you she's a tough little one. I had surgery at 3 and 4 years old, and had very frequent nightmares until about the age of 12 from being under anesthetics. I was afraid to go to sleep, thought I'd never wake up, and had nightmares almost every night.

Besides a skewed back, no pectoral major chest muscle and a slim arm with a deform bicep, my right hand looks like this guys left hand, only my index and middle finger is still webbed. There was not enough blood vessels for them to get separeted (there are now though, I just don't want to get them separeted, as I don't care and probably won't even be able to learn how to use each finger individually). I also want to tell you that even though it has always been obvious and I have not been able to hide it, I've never been bullied and have lots of good friends, am happy to go to sleep now and can do 20+ push-ups. I only learned last year that I had Polands syndrome, before that I just thought it was one of mother natures little peculiarities.

I was born right-handed but already at the age of 2 or so, I became left handed naturally. There are several positive side effects of having a slim arm and a small hand. I could easily reach behind the radiator or under the bed and at that age it was cool that I could do somehting the grown-ups could not. It was great when my mother came and asked me to get something she couldn't reach, I suppose it gave me confidence. Having a weak arm meant I used my left hand for pretty much everything, resulting in this arm being way stronger than normal. Being the rowdy kid I was, all the way from kindergarden through middle school, I could easily beat up the other kids, again, a positive side effect IMO.

Best of luck to your daughter and her family.

Thank you for the clarification! The context of a poll is extremely important. I knew it wasn't quite new, but I didn't want to resort to google translate as it often confuses more than clarifies. With your remarks the whole picture now corresponds more accurately with what /u/PSonne has commented. Again, thank you.

This article by Time magazine references a survey done by Kremlin's own pollster. The conclusion: "At home, this intervention looks to be the one of the most unpopular decisions Putin has ever made." as "[...] nearly three quarters of the population oppose a Russian “reaction” of any kind".
