Totally - I was thinking the same thing. When I imagine "planting a tree" I see someone digging a hole, putting the roots of a tree that's a foot tall or so into it, and then back filling it with dirt.

After seeing that number - I have to assume that it's either planting tree SEEDS or using some kind of automated tractor that digs a hole, puts the tree in it, and then back fills it, in a big line one after another.

I was a contestant and we had to show up very early (before sunrise), and there was ice on the course and on the edges of the pool. For the qualifier you don't have a wetsuit, and when you hit the water your body just immediately tightens up, you lose all feeling in your fingers, you stumble, can't run fast (plus your shoes and life jacket are water logged), and it's very difficult to breath. The cold water was more challenging than any obstacle.

The other courses are shot in smaller bodies of water later in the day, so they had warmed up, and it was SO MUCH easier. The third course we had wet suits on so it was no problem at all. But the Wipeout Zone is shot in the middle of the night, and even with the wet suit it was pretty cold.
