Your story is amazing. I travelled on a cargo ship my dad worked on for 6 months with my family when I was 6, best time of my life! We travelled from Singapore to Indonesia-Malaysia-Bangkok (I forgot the city names of the other two) and back. Was shit scared of boats then, too close to water for my liking.

Yours must've been even better since it was a boat and you'd have a more hands on experience with the sailing.
