I personally pull peoples credit directly through the actual credit reporting bureaus at an expense to my company. Many of these people bring in their credit karma or free credit report scoring and are completely clueless as to how there is sometimes up to a 75 point swing for the better on their free score to the score the banks use. For example, your credit karma score may pull at a 674, but when I pull credit you come up as a 612 through the same credit reporting agency such as Equifax. This is exceptionally frustrating for a consumer when you are shopping with a false level of credit confidence. If anyone would like to see the accuracy of this, get a free credit reporting score, and see which agency is giving you the score, then go directly to that agencies site and PAY for your accurate score, and there will absolutely be a difference, usually for the worse unfortunately.

And that will absolutely happen too. It's just always so varied and can be misleading to someone who thinks it's the be all end all way to monitor their credit.

I work for a company that pulls actual credit for customers through Experian, Equifax and Trans Union. Why do the credit scores pulled by your company typically come in far higher or lower than what their actual credit score is when pulled through the same reporting agencies?
