Does the commune not save any money? Or are you entirely dependent on new people coming in that can keep working? For instance, say no new young people joined or an accident causes many people to be unable to work? What would the financial position of the elderly be?

I would think that there would be community savings, and if a member left they would be granted their part of the savings.

Really interesting insight.

I don't have the mentality of others that this is a cult. I think it is a cool social experiment. I can see where others are coming from that if the commune doesn't offer support for those that want to leave that they can feel trapped.

Curious, if it was a beautiful warm sunny day outside and someone came up to you and insisted it was cold and cloudy, what adjectives would you use to describe that person?

To be clear, and please correct me if I am wrong, NCIX didn't sell the customer data. NCIX stopped paying rent where their data center was and NCIX didn't encrypt sensitive personal information. Then, the owner of the space claimed the left hardware in lieu of rent, and sold it off without cleaning it.

NCIX is definitely at fault as they didn't take precautions to protect customer and employment data, but they didn't sell the data in the same way that op is talking about companies selling your data.
