Hey, Phil! Long time part of the nation; I started watching you in 8th grade, and now I'm in med school. Crazy how fast things go.

I was just curious what it was that made you go from someone who didn't want to get married, to a person with a beautiful wife and son. Where in your life was that transition in your mind made? I feel as though I'm in a similar position you began in.

Thanks for doing this AMA!

Man, you'll be fine. You can do it, trust me. While tutoring for it, I found a large amount of people had problems because they simply spent such a small amount of time studying for it, then blamed their bad grades on the professor and the difficulty of the subject matter. Ultimately, it just made them do even less for the class, and they ended up doing terribly. My honest advice to you is be 100% real with yourself. If you know you didn't spend enough time studying for the quiz you did poorly on, acknowledge that and push yourself to do more.

If it's any consolation, I felt more comfortable taking OChem 2 than 1. By that point you understand a large amount of the theory (for arrow pushing and what could possibly happen given the components of a reaction) so you end up spending most of the time learning new mechanisms with old concepts applied.

I wish you luck in the class! Start refreshing on some stuff now if you want that A ;D

Not a scary encounter, but my favorite Phil-fan interaction I've seen was when the person said, "Fuck you, your show sucks" and Phil said he loved it.
