My grandmother has onset Dementia. She's had moments where she gets up to clean after dinner and told not to worry about it, to respond with "Feel like I should be cleaning, it's my house I haven't done anything yet." (It's not her house, which is 8 hours away. Also not a meal she cooked.) Or asking me what grade I'm in (I graduated college two years ago). Moments like these are very sad and hard to watch.

I'm wondering if there's a time when you actually feel the need to correct these poor folks? (for medical reasons?) Or for the most part if someone is blatantly mis-remembering something, do you tend to humor them more?
