Reruns of older shows used to be a staple of the network but fewer and fewer want to watch them on TV because they can get them on Netflix, iTunes, DVD, etc., so they don't work for us anymore. There are a few exceptions, but they're now the exception, not the rule.

Y don't know, somethyng about that looks funny....

Although nothing can live up to the glory that is Sharktopus, Defiance is pretty good ;)

If those shows do well (fingers crossed!) it will definitely give us the ability to do even more big-budget sci-fi dramas.

But reality shows will still be a key part of our programming mix, as they will for all networks, because it's no longer feasible to do a whole schedule of only dramas. Also, many viewers love reality shows and aren't insulted by them, even sci-fi lovers. FaceOff is a particular favorite among fandom, and we have two new fan-based shows coming soon: Fandemonim and Cosworld.
