Older trucks and high HP heavy haul trucks get 3-6mpg.
my 2015+'s(400hp ISX's) get 7.8 - 9mpg hauling 30k lbs... but we're flat landers... the biggest hill we climb is 250' over 5 miles lol

I take it youve never summoned a dragon in ark? Ark's PVE endgame is pretty amazing.

If you want to be a career welder(Structural Iron or Pipeline); Even with certs, you end up riding a grinder for your first year or two as an apprentice.
If you want to be a welder who works in a non critical fab shop (IE: stuff isnt getting x-ray/dye tested.) You'll prob start welding on stuff your first week, as well as grinding, cutting, drilling and fuckloads of sweeping and putting tools away. These places value "Pretty" and consistent welding over strength and penetration.
Examples: Fishing vessel auxilleries like tables/pole holders etc,
stainless steel kitchen equipment tables/sinks etc
