I’m currently applying to become a locksmith and have an interview tomorrow. Any advice? (For background, I’m always enjoyed working with my hands, building and taking stuff apart, and I actually have a lockpicking set I bought when I was 14/15 and taught myself how to pick locks)

Dude I know the feeling. So many people are so dumb. I work at a movie theater where you pick your seats and we have monitors to show you the seating. The screens aren't touchscreen but everyone assumes they are. Here's how a large portion of transactions go down:

Me: "Which seats would you like? The screen is at the top and the green are available. It's not touch screen so you just have to let me know which ones"

Customer: points to the top "This is the screen up here?"

Me: "Yes"

C: "And the green are available?"

Me: "Correct"

C: looks at the screen for 30 seconds pokes the screen trying to select seats

Me: "it's not touch screen, you just have to let me know which one*

C: "oh well I can't read it" breaks out reading glasses, leans down, squints "E9 and 10"

That's the average transaction. Hundreds of times a day. It's exhausting. And yes I have asked my boss for a label on the screen that says "not a touchscreen" but was told no

How many different ways can you answer variations of the same question “have you ever accidentally made something useful?”

Do you listen to music when you vacuum like me or do you just appreciate the sound of a vacuum doing its job?
