But the movie commissioned an artist to create that image via computer and black hole was so scientifically accurate it took approx 100 hours to render each frame in the physics and VFX engine. Meaning every second you see took approx 100 days to render the final copy. The software to create it is a full implementation of Einstein's equations in 40,000 lines of C++, and rendered thousands of 23-megapixel IMAX frames on a 32,000-core render farm at about 20 core-hours per frame. I imagine they would be protective of this effort that's all and don't want to see OP get dicked over being such a small team
