I don't believe we will find a safe or reasonable alternative to chicken anytime soon. So I'd ignore comments about ending the production or putting farms out of business. Most of the people that are saying it don't realize that a single chicken farm can (and usually does) directly or indirectly employ dozens of people through transportation, feed and other necessities.

That having been said, what would be the actual cost of improving the treatment of these animals in your opinion?

Say your own farm for example, how much would the cost increase on your end to make this a situation that the reasonable among us can live with?

I've always pitied people that had to have all their teeth removed and have dentures because of the false appearance and those incidents where they fall out uncontrollably. Have there been any advancements in dentures or is there a newer alternative?

I always think about that while I'm in the chair, but I never remember to ask...
