If you "have grown as a journalist since then" wouldn't that mean you'd be less inclined to use emotionally charged words to not make it seem like you're pushing a biased agenda? Wouldn't you think "growing as a journalist" means utilizing less sensationalist vocabulary to present a news story, and simply explaining the situation like you did in 2014?
Edit: Oh my prophets, he actually said this.
Brazenly admitting to interjecting opinion and bias in their own news story. It's a rare and beautiful sight to see somebody so recklessly throw away all their credibility in just a single sentence. Jacob Soboroff, you haven't grown at all as a "journalist," the only growing you've done is exploiting outrage and manipulating viewership to sell pharmaceutical ads on MSNBC.
Edit 2: He's fled.
After posting the above comment, Jacob Soboroff has abandoned his own AMA. What a perfect note to end on. Immediately bails the minute anyone points out blatant political bias and gets called out for admitting to editorializing his own news stories.
Let this particular corner of this AMA stand as definitive evidence that MSNBC, like any ratings-driven ad-supported "news" source, should be approached with heavy skepticism and not be considered a trustworthy source of news. Profit-driven news is not here to give you truth; they're capitalizing on your outrage and doing all they can to make you scared, angry, and divided.

For those who don't know the story and are sarcastically chuckling "pfft, couldn't be that dangerous; what, was he in like Saudi Arabia or something?"
He was in Saudi Arabia.
