How has capitalism effected everyday Americans in ways they do not typically see?

Check out A People's History of The United States by Howard Zinn.

Also they have no labor protections. It it sad to me when I see any worker get denied their worth and rights regardless of nationality.

The US is capitalist, and capitalism entails an oligarchy of interests.
