Your stats prof is a dumbass.

A smart stats prof would understand that in most lotto situations the EV is higher with unusual/unique picks. Even though 1-2-3-4-5-6 is equally likely to hit, the payoff is lower because of all the other dumbasses who operate under the likelihood that 1-2-3-4-5-6 is just as good as any other number.

tl;dr: Switch profs.

Well, NASA =/= all R&D.

NASA definitely does cool things. And not all strictly space related and pretty well all of the space related stuff is cross applicable to non space related stuff.

If we're to take Neil's 10% number to heart - it might well be that there's 9% of budget that should be spent on other R&D cool stuff that isn't NASA. I would also think plurality is a good thing.

Proof that QWOP is a comment on existential ennui. The only way is the wrong way. Gameplay is hard or even nigh impossible, tedious, slow and fraught with frustration.

The only reliable path to success is to accept and embrace the absurdity and revel in the implicit humour.

Sounds like you're a ground person and not a water person so you might not be able to answer...

What are the differences in airplane maintenance between the Navy and everyone else? What's it like fixing a plane on a carrier? Are there differences?

Perhaps ambitious but Pixar might spin off a 'less family friendly' brand to use for something like this. Same company, same people, essentially; but a different brand to distinguish it.

Ie: Disney/Touchstone. That's right, Pretty Woman is a Disney film. It's actually a really good example. A hooker with a heart of gold who finds romance. She doesn't kiss on the mouth, right? Well, what's she kissing with that mouth? Pretty Woman is very Disney except for all the dick sucking.

Advantages: Many. A lot of film isn't 'family friendly'; there's a lot of potential.

Disadvantages: Losing/splitting pixar's gravitas and studio. The Pixar brand is pretty damn strong and trying to launch a new 'sub label' is a bit weird. If Pixar is busy enough with family friendly and has enough projects, no need.

All my rambling? I think I would prefer live action with Ender.
