My grandfather served in both Italy and North Africa in WW2 and will absolutely never even speak of his experiences, as they were too traumatic. First of all, thanks for being so open and honest! Now, what elements of the war, specifically, gave you the fondest memories? Do you feel like only certain personality types can come out of war with the type of positivity you have?
