What does a defense attorney do when a client confesses guilt to the charges against him/her?

I can express my views anywhere I want to , thank you. I also suffer from bad anxiety and have been on meds for years to deal with it. It sucks and there is no fixing mental illnesses. That's my point.

Only thing saving me from suicide is basically, Effexor. My anxiety has been with me my whole life. Effexor has allowed me to function somewhat normally but I cant see myself ever getting off this drug. I thought I was just a messed up social outcast for 30 yrs of my life till I got on Paxil. That was like waking up from a life long nightmare. Still, it's just a patch to hide the problem.

I've been to several therapists and psychiatrists and have been nothing but disappointed. Got real close to making a scene in a shrink's office one time. Worthless professions as far as I can tell from my own direct experience.
