I'll second the other responses. Definitely specialize. Like someone else said, modeling is over saturated. One thing to keep in mind, this typically isn't a high paying job (or any pay sometimes). You gotta actually love it to make it a career. I've decided to go the hard route because more job opportunities. I'm going for actual VFX like particles, smoke, water, etc. so I'm teaching myself Houdini since my school doesn't have any classes on it yet. It's grueling and not always rewarding, but I enjoy it.

This game looks incredible. I love that the game has all the basic MMO components (quests, events, pvp, gear stats, etc) but still holds true to the third person shooter feel. My questions are: Since the game starts based in NY, is there plans of DLC expansions for other cities/states/countries? Also, since this is an MMO type game, is there going to be a monthly fee to play?

I'm currently learning Houdini and want to eventually do VFX for film. What do you suggest should be on a solid VFX demo reel?
