That bees are not inherently evil. The "killer bee" is not out to take over America and kill everything they see. Beekeepers have been working for years to breed calm and reasonable bees. That being said it would be nice for some misconceptions to be fixed. Such as in the Bee Movie the smoker does not make the bees fall asleep it causes them to gorge on honey.

Absolutely come on over to /r/beekeeping and learn the basics and find out what you need. It is quite expensive to start up though. It costs about four hundred dollars to start. And even though corners can be cut its not cheap and has a lot of risk. But youtube, local classes, and reading up on the topic is advised before you make the leap into buying your gear and hive.

Fresh from the hive served on my hive tool. I dont know what it is but truly fresh honey is to die for. Its like coke in the can, it just tastes better. But depends on what I am using it on/in. I personally love gallberry. To me it tastes some what like chocolate.

Yes, it still hurts but honestly after fifteen minutes its hard to find where I was stung.

I love bumblebees but dislike carpenter bees. The carpenter bee when looking for a mate/competition kinda sits eye level and buzzes at your face.
I have a live and let live policy unless its a stationary wasp... then its dead.
Personally I hate wasps because they don't contribute anything besides hate and nightmares. Also a lot of people cant tell the difference between wasps and bees so we can get false calls.
