When you read the news, how does it make you feel when countries like the US and other European nations bicker over providing refuge to Syrians fleeing for their lives?

Countering lie after bold-faced lie from the leader of the free world (felt really strange to actually type that), how do you keep a positive outlook? How do you not throw your hands up in frustration and head for the hills?
