what did you think when other people mentioned a particular smell? did you just never know what they were talking about but pretended to do? i imagine that there would be quite a lot of situations where you should have noticed that you aren't able to smell..

what are some things that you don't like to eat?

Not op and not answering your question, but it's so surreal to me that people actually like the smell of coffee! It's really sickening to me, but I'm okay with the taste. I even enjoy coffee flavoured chocolate and things like that hahah
