Thank you so much for doing this.... Can you settle two debates for me? You’re way more educated on these things than I am, so even if it’s something you’re unsure of, I’d love a gut-call at least!!

1) I have a six-year-old. I’ve started letting him play limited video games. I think it will help him practice and develop many cognitive skills (problem solving, creativity, reading, etc). My wife does not. Who’s right and, as a bonus, which do you think is better for a young brain, kids TV programming or video games?

2) I also let my kid read and do artistic things on tablets and my brother-in-law insists that it’s not as valuable as reading a paper book or doing non-digital art projects. From a neurologist’s perspective, are there any differences to reading or doing art in a digital format vs a physical format?

Thanks again!

I hope you change your mind. Letting things fall apart will severely hurt a lot of people and may not even lead to the changes you desire. You are essentially saying that you are willing to sacrifice human happiness in order to have a very small possibility of getting your way. Doesn't seem like the right bargain to me. Hillary would be an infinitely better president than any GOP nominee, especially with the potential opportunity to remake the Supreme Court.

You may feel Hillary is a "compromise" candidate, but understand that much of the country feels Bernie as a candidate would be moving too far, too fast. Perhaps it is time for an extreme change, perhaps it's time for an incremental step. I'd let the democratic preliminary process decide and support whomever is chosen rather than take a "my way or the highway" approach.

As a lifelong Floridian (I survived!) I find that original reporting on hurricanes is measured but serious... then it gets amplified and hysterical... and then whatever the original reporting was turns out to be the most accurate. Do you think there’s truth to my opinion?
