What’s Jan Schakowsky’s report like?

Do you guys do any reporting around fossil fuel extraction leases on public lands? I don’t know a ton about the subject but I remember reading something about an old old law that prohibits the government from charging more than $5 an acre. So not only is it a huge giveaway to those destroying our environment, but it creates billions in profit for those who would use that money to entrench terrible policies like that!

It would be interesting to know of feedback loops where companies get those leases, and donate to or spend money for politicians who do oversight the Interior dept or the agencies involved, and the politicians help to facilitate more leases
