Thanks for the response. I have always thought that this was probably what holds the subject back the most.

Its not a good thing when your scientist don't take something serious and won't study something because of the fear of being branded a loon.

And when you don't have scientist studying something like this, the only people that will are the real loons, who will only damage things more.

Its a dark age cycle of doom.

With your experience on this subject, would you say that there's a trend in the scientific community were if a scientist comes out in some kind of support of the subject of UFOs, people will tend to overly criticize, mock, and ultimately take said scientist less seriously?

Do you have any idea how long it will be till the government gives smoking gun evidence of the subject, considering they are slowly leaking info out?
