I know at least here, and here being the USA, they often have a problem with people who have newer cars and loud sound systems that they like to listen to at high volume. The cars are well soundproofed and combined with the music up, they often can't hear the sirens coming until they're on top of them. Which is super dangerous for both parties.

I personally witnessed someone who just refused to give the right of way until the driver of the firetruck (probably, could have been shotgun) yelled at them over their loudspeaker to get out of the way and that they were committing a felony by refusing to yield or pull over. This was not a new car, although I have no way of knowing if it was being done intentionally or if they just really had the music up to a(n also illegal and unsafe) ridiculously high volume.

You'd think that they would be, wouldn't you?

How would you recommend someone get into the business?

Aside from the obvious things like breaking bones/getting injured, what's an unexpected downside to stunt work?
