Seems sort of futile to me, aren't Republicans against Federally owned anything?

I'm sure it has been used as a strawman argument, I was just referring to arguments I've often heard/read from Republicans i.e. 'of course the Fed can't possibly run xyz, it should be privitized' when discussing the Postal Service, Parks, Water, Energy, schools, everything. But clearly labeling all conservatives as anything is a generalization and not very accurate.
