I'm married to a Witness (I'm not nor ever have been). I've been along to a couple of meetings and have socialised with many of them (including elders), going to JW weddings, getting drunk with them. They've been nothing but kind to me. There have been disfellowships but those people chose to disassociate themselves from most of the congregation afterwards, rather than be ostracized by it (some have returned). Am I associating with a renegade faction or am I missing something in plain sight?

I love that this was the only thing in 2 years you were interested in on here.

Hi Pete, big fan. I love your Twitter PSQAs that you do (all too irregularly though) - do you come up with the answers as the questions come in or are you hoarding puns to use when the time is right?

P.S. You should really do some again soon.

This is how all AMAs will eventually be done from this point forward, except PR companies can carefully word replies to a select few questions that best suit a forthcoming film/book/TV show.

I'm married to a Witness (in the UK). It was a problem to start with - what with me not being part of the Truth - but I've had dinner with her congregations' elders, I've socialised with her JW friends, got drunk with them, I've attended meetings when I haven't had anything else to do on a Sunday. I've made it clear to them that I've got no interest in studying, and they've always treated me really well. Is this some sort of rogue congregation? What's going on here?
