Having never watched the shows, my biggest question is why "Artemis Stardust", and was it an homage to Ziggy?

If her review prevents five other squeamish people from reading the book and subsequently giving it bad reviews, it's probably worth taking the hit. Lots of people check out the lowest reviews first when deciding whether to buy/read a book to get an idea of what its worst features are. If the most complained about features are things that you happen to find engaging, then you disregard the review. If you agree with the reviewer, you avoid the book and move on.

I've only been once, but I remember one of the knights choosing a girl out of the audience to be his lady. Is this predetermined or done randomly?
