Interesting point. I do research with nomadic tribes in southern Africa and often prioritize to publish in open access outlets, since it allows local people to read and reflect on what I write about them. If my commentaries never go back they are essentially uncontested and hopefully some of my good points will also travel back. It is a bit different in your case as piracy has an economic implication for you, not for me. So what's your attitude to this copying?
