Not saying the Freakonomics theory is necessarily correct, but the refutation you cite is pretty weaksauce. He starts off strong in the 1st 2 paragraphs, but then his supporting stuff was just a bunch of supposition. Pinker's speculations to fit the observed statistics is no better than Leavitt's, certainly not mindblowing.

Can you direct me to some materials to help me better understand trans perspective?

Sorry it's a shitty question, I don't know how else to ask.

When a sibling came out to me that greatly catalyzed my perspective on homosexuality. I understand that trans is not homosexuality, but the perspective shift was a sea change for me.

I'm sorry if I am not using appropriate terms. I do not mean to give offense. Your post title telegraphed to me there might be a latitude.

I just don't get it. I assume now that this is a failure on my part. I do want to get it.

Thanks.

Are you the guy who did that piece or were interviewed regarding a car purchase negotiation (I think on Edmund's?) where you got your opening price eventually?

Also, my wife seems to be a lot better negotiator than I. Can you provide suggestions as why that might be so I can stew on it for a bit?
