I find hard to believe this is a thing. The term selective implies that you can select where you do it. How aren't we sure it's just a kid being a smart ass and not talking and over time it's learned to not speak? I watched the documentary, read your post... I don't know how to feel about it. It seems if you can talk to some people, you should be able to force yourself to others. What if someone's in trouble, you can't call 911?
