Is University a bubble? Are degrees worth the cost?

I'm inclined to agree with Dawek here. The question shouldn't be "Will getting a degree increase my income?", but rather, is the money spent on going to school the most efficient way to invest my money (and time)? I've heard that most people would be better of taking their tuition money and putting into some other investment.
