Wyoming resident here. Where I am from in Wyoming we have to drive 13 miles to get groceries but the town is monopolized. So we drive 100 miles south to the nearest Walmart to get groceries for the next couple of weeks.

It isn't difficult at all to maintain friends because people here don't need constant attention. You can go months or years without talking and then see each other and it be like nothing happened.

Our state spends a TON of money on making sure getting snowed in doesn't happen. We have gotten 3-4 feet of snow in one night and still got our roads plowed.

They don't understand it. Most places in Wyoming are pretty normal in terms of heating and groceries and what not. You have to be able to withstand days where you'll go from 40 degrees to -20. You have to be able to take the -25 degree weather. Depending where you live you have to be able to chop wood to heat your house.

What kind of experience do you look for when hiring an intern?

I applied my freshman year of college and didn't get accepted which is understandable because I had no experinece. I now am a junior and going to apply for next summer. I have 2 huge personal projects, experience in 5 different programming languages and am currently a software developer. Everything I do is to earn an internship at NASA!

What else can I do to increase my chances? I am a computer science major by the way.
