I meant, try asking your question there. But since you asked, try freeing up some disk space on your phone by deleting apps; I've seen iPhones / iPads act funny when stuffed to the gills. Beyond that, you may need to just wipe & restore.

Makes sense, I suppose. Too bad about that; they were a way for the individuality of the programmers to show through the sometimes sterile interfaces of the programs they were writing.

(And then there's hardware eggs, such as this one I discovered on the Quadra 950, which are essentially extinct thanks to the six-month hardware cycle you mentioned earlier.)
