Was the sound guy nice? We have a history of being grumpy.

Sometimes it just isn't that simple, I was working on some media training the other day. Voice/what you're saying is roughly 7% of the whole image in presenting something, the rest is image and gesture when you're engaging with someone including pre and post events todo with the presentation/engagement. Having a video conference adds a sterile feel and will always reduce the effect you can have.

I'd love to know how they get your phone number just like that to get hold of people they saw on a video posted on youtube...

I could be remembering wrong but I thought that was just a myth...

Any reason you're leaving out the UK in your trip?
