Hi, I expect this to get buried, but I should mention that I'm a lifeguard myself. What surprised me about your story is that you only get 8.25 an hour for BEACH RESCUE. I'm just a pool lifeguard and I get 10 dollars an hour, while any local beach guards for the resorts and stuff make much more than that. (Naples) my question is, why did you take the job and was there any other options for life guarding in your area?

Most of your questions are pretty easily answered if you did maybe a moments worth of research. The YPG tend to be very pragmatic with their neighbors out of necessity. I feel as if you purposely are ignoring the fact that YPG regularly fight al-Nusra and are technically at war with each other? YPG is also composed of many Muslims, so while it does not legally have Sharia courts in its government system it can acknowledge it still. In regards to Levant Front, which is still moderately Islamist, it is simple pragmatism on the YPG's part as they have very poor relations with Islamists rebels (as seen by their rejection by the SNC). Regarding YPG "cooperation" with Assad, that's a pretty big stretch. In Hasakah, formerly split between YPG and SAA, ISIS finally overran SAA lines and YPG did go in and take over areas ISIS took. They were fighting the same enemy at the same time, but cooperation was clearly limited and there are constant outbreaks of violence between Assad forces and the YPG (which I'm sure you ignored). Also, considering it took hardly any time for ISIS to be pushed out of Hasakah it's pretty clear that YPG doesn't just sit around and let people suffer for their own sake.

In regard to your 6th point, I'm not exactly sure what the issue is? All that does is give women more confidence in fighting horrible people. In fact, most reports indicate that this just propoganda for international viewers to give YPG more media exposure. Definitely a nit-picky point.

YPG conscription is for 6 months... in the midst of an intense war. News flash: most counties in the world operate the same way with conscription even if they're not at war. You're definitely reaching now.

Regarding the "exectution" of Assyrians, it was pretty clear that these were YPG members that were criminals looking to make some money (having stole 750,000 dollars) and killed two men. Horrible what they did, but it is highly unlikely this political.

Regarding child soldiers, the YPG fully admitted to the issue and went about trying to reduce it. Unfortunately it probably to still happens and still needs fixing.

Considering your new account, your very biased and out of context questions, I'm pretty sure your a certain poster from /r/syriancivilwar. No reason to hide behind an alt account!

Beautiful story, I'm glad you lived a good life. My question would be, what are your thoughts on the hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan? Thank you.
