I was told my loan payments would start 6 months after I graduated but they started 6 months BEFORE I graduated (at a full-time tech school). I went on forbearance after a year of paying the loan with the loan money.

The loan company lying about when my payments started basically torpedoed my budget and made me quit a promising internship early because I had to move home because I couldn't pay rent at the start of the recession (I graduated August of 2008).

I feel like I got screwed and I never recovered. My education was a waste as I never used it. I'm doing okay now (I'm not bankrupt or in severe debt) but I basically blew over $100,000 and years of my life so rich people could get richer.

I have some knives that are starting to rust. What should I do with them?

Hey thanks for the AMA! I personally love the explorations done of abandoned underground tunnels, old subway stations and and old sub-level infrastructure.

Is NYC the best place for that or is there another city that has comparable or more abandoned underground worlds like that?
