Always be the one to kick the trash can over first. Not a rule.....Just sayin'.

Sure:)...I'm not familiar with reconciliation ever having happened between two people without forgiveness preceding the act of reconciling. I mean no disrespect, I just don't understand.

I recently changed my view on creationism versus evolution. I was debating it with my husband(we are both Christian) and he pointed out that whether or not evolution did indeed happen, it doesn't affect Christian beliefs when we look at the bigger picture. I know it sounds strange, I will elaborate. Okay, I believe God is sovereign and created the universe- whether He created dinosaurs and apes first, then decided humans would be more interesting so evolved the apes into man- is of no consequence to me as a believer in Christ. The truth is- the cold hard truth, is that neither evolution not creationism are absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, proven to be fact. I know the evolutionists will try to hammer me with that last statement, and that's okay, but really, don't bother- I've heard it all before. What I personally believe is that this argument between creationists and evolutionists is one more way to drive a wedge between people that might otherwise show love for each other. I've watched both sides- including myself, become pretty hateful in their treatment of the other side, regarding individual interaction and also as whole organizations. An unfortunate side effect of forcing creationism out of school is that it squelches a student's ability to think for themselves. If it is not introduced as a possibility, then the evolutionists are doing quite the same thing they are accusing creationists of doing- in that they are forcing the children to believe one thing because that is the only thing they are being exposed to- isn't that correct? God and evolution are indeed not enemies- people are using them as distractions and excuses to promote separateness. Also, isn't school designed to teach people to THINK? How can kids learn to think if they are not presented with all the possibilities, since neither evolution nor creationism have been solidly proven to be airtight conclusions, why is it so important to choose one or the other? THINKING is the most important thing for students to learn.
