Fantastic answer thank you! One plant I worked at would consistently roll out "solutions". We had multiple kamishibai boards that everyone dreaded, daily management boards that went under the wayside, and months and months of inventory while tour managers would advertise "we're just in time!"
I enjoy your idea of STARTING with the problem instead of the solution.

Hi Kenny. I was 5 years old when Ledbetter Heights came out. I distinctly remember laying on the floor next to my dad's speakers in the living room listening to the song Aberdeen. I loved the low-fi sound of it, especially the (sitar?) and vocals. How did you get the old time sounding vocals in the beginning of that song?
One last comment/question. I absolutely love the live version of "While We Cry" on that album. I remember reading a lot of stuff online about how this was an "indirect rip-off" of SRV, Hendrix, and other similarly sounding guitarists. How do you attempt to differentiate your sound from others and how do you respond to those types of comments?
Your first album had many many hours of playing time on our long trips driving to Canada for my hockey games :-)
Hope you are doing well
EDIT - Dammit, I just saw that he's already gone. I hope he heads back and responds!

Hi Chris,
In a few words, how do you "sell" Lean to users who may be afraid/resistant of the paradigm?
In my experience, the fundamentals of Lean, when applied to a manufacturing environment, can save enormous amounts of rework, data mining, and ultimately money. However, often, my coworkers chastise it and say the efforts are a waste of time.
Thanks for doing this!
