Do you think the current state of pornography has any serious Ill effects on viewers and/or society at large?

If so, do you think the industry shares the onus to curb some of those effects, or do you view that as the responsibility of regulatory agencies.

Just to add some context to a comment below - (and not to say there isn't exploitation in markets like these or anything) - there is usually some logic to margins like these.
We can start with two questions:
1) Why would any writer choose to traditionally publish (10%) when they could self publish on amazon and take 70%?

2) Why hasn't anyone started a company offering writers a significantly greater share (20-30% for example).

Most likely, writers will still make more through that 10% than doing 70% by their own. That's because of the ton of different jobs and skillsets needed to make a book successful.

The answer to number 2 is probably that publishers simply aren't successful when they try to offer such high rates.

-Between 2 like publishers, any good writer would choose the one offering 2-3x the pay

-Offering 20% would therefore allow a new publisher their pick of authors to publish. Cornering the market should be profitable.

-If that company succeeds, others would be forced to raise their offers to compete.

TLDR: If publishers could routinely offer authors 20-30% and still make solid profits, they probably would due to market forces. Most likely, the amount of work that goes into selling a book (and considering that publishers have to front costs for books that fail as well) makes it cost prohibitive to offer larger rates to authors.

The fact that they implied that the Biden campaign misspeaks at times but has never intentionally lied should clue everyone in. (Trump lies a fuck ton don't get me wrong, but to act like the Biden campaign doesn't too is laughable coming from "disinformation researchers")
