What safeguards are in place to prevent "score bombing" or otherwise destroying a journalists reputation in a similar way to downvote brigades here on Reddit.

My concern is that, unlike vote brigades which are commonplace on Reddit but do nothing except lower useless internet points, your website could be used to effectively ruin journalistic reputations if your website takes off and otherwise earns credibility.

Will you have a moderation team who are able to identify this behaviour? Would you then blacklist voters or somehow protect the scores of targets? (which creates obvious problems of protecting potentially poor journalism... alliteration unintended)

How are you planning on combatting this behaviour? You can be virtually certain that you'll encounter it, and unsatisfactory management of it will hurt undeserving journalists and eventually the credibility of the rating system altogether.

I'm the same age. I regularly get a bit disillusioned with how things are going in my life, even though I know I should be grateful for what I have.

I imagine you've had to deal with a reality I could never imagine, problems that might make mine seem like a stubbed toe or a rainy day.

What are your thoughts on life? How do you keep it all in perspective? What helps you get out of bed?

Sounds like you have some good ideas in place. I particularly like the approach of reducing suspected brigaders vote-weight rather than outright removing them altogether. Seems like a good compromise between the interests of all involved parties.

Thank you for your answer and wish you all the best with this endeavour. I sincerely hope you pull it off.

You make a very valid point about culpability. I never really thought much about the service being a serious deterrent towards the authors themselves in that way, mainly a way to directly protect readers from poor sources, but it definitely makes a lot of sense. Much better to be proactive and have journalists tread lightly, instead of reacting after the fact - hopefully that will create a bit of a feedback loop in any case.

Does that matter or are you just taking a random opportunity to disparage Elon Musk?

Seems like he was only mentioned in passing due to voicing support for a service like this.
