You either die a hero, or a villain. How much regret do you think you will have once the curve has flattened and you don't have a job anymore due to this decision? You said yourself that the tourism season is over because all the cruise liners have suspended service. If that is the case, I'm surprised your getting any traffic at all considering it's just the locals.

I think your actions are Nobel, but your dose of reality is going to slam you and your wife hard once you realize the bartending job has already been taken. Little supply and high demand.

Do you find it difficult trying to come up with your own story, or do you find your mind racing with examples from other literature / entertainment, and you feel the draw to mimic or take ideas to fill your narrative or ideas that you're trying to convey? How do you get around this problem if so?

Sorry if I'm not conveying my thoughts clearly. Best example would be that someone told you to write a song, and all you can think of is your favorite song. So unintentionally it sounds very similar.
