is this a common occurrence in prison? what is the logic/reasoning behind this? i'm sitting here imagining a secretary type with a rolodex of every person in prison and their birthday...

/u/Unidan, I'm constantly blown away by how you seem to know everything about everything. To you and your friends on this AMA, what is the craziest biological fact you know of that would make me do this?

the fact that number 11 (get a college degree) is not crossed off is a testament to the culture of our society. not to generalize every person who either went to college or didn't, but you all are essentially living your dreams while helping others do the same. my life is plenty rewarding in its own right but i am sitting here making calls and sending emails working a 9-5. it's pretty safe to say that i would switch places with you guys in a heart beat. i think it would be pretty cool to have the degree be the one you never cross off, just to show that you don't have to go to college to live a fulfilling life.
