I was going to say "Hey, that's only one example" but I think it actually covers both ends of that spectrum. Nothing more tear-jerking than a grown man crying. And nothing more fulfilling than knowing he took that advice to heart and remembered it.

He's lucky you were there as a positive influence at one of his more vulnerable moments. Cool story. Thanks for sharing.

Another good example is SB 1714 in Florida. They're trying to pass a bill where basically, for a microbrewery to sell packaged bottles or cans, it needs to through a distributor and get sold back to them. It's asinine.

It seems INBev and MillerCoors are often in favor of bills like that, because it restricts the Craft Beer revolution, which is taking from big beer sales.

Not sure why you are getting downvoted here. You have the right answer. The 2nd amendment is a guarenteed right by our constitution. There's no right to immigration or right to be a citizen in our constitution.

And there's a flaw in the question:

Most Muslims are responsible, law abiding citizens who feel they shouldn't be persecuted for the actions of a few bad eggs.

...Muslim citizens aren't affected by immigration reform, and shouldn't be pursecuted. Only muslim's trying to enter the country, i.e. non-citizens. And it makes sense that non-citizens are not granted the same rights as citizens. At least to me.
