Is anyone in the protest trying to follow social distancing guidelines and is there any effort to try and minimize the risk of spreading Covid?

I'm not trying to be an ass, but I hope for everyone's sake a change IS brewing, because whether we like it or not peaceful protests are still getting people killed. You just dont see it.

Edit: I got permabanned. Looks like the mods support the protestors.

So let's get hundreds of times more people killed in a city per capita than the police do because the end totally justifies the means, right?

You do realize that numbers of Covid cases are drastically on the rise, that this could cause another round of quarantine, cost tens of thousands of lives, and lead to a recession?

Can you not start online polls, make townhouse gatherings that adhere to social distancing guidelines, and email your politicians? Or fuck it, run for public office yourself?

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe you should come up with a unified list of demands and following the same ones as Hong Kong isnt a good idea?

Do you honestly think there would be the same amount of riots if Covid never came about to begin with? How many people honestly think that another six to twelve months of police brutality might be better than an alternative with dire consequences that isnt even working?

For fucks sake, theres a lot at stake here and there is ZERO leadership behind this movement.

Out of curiosity, what percentage of people wore masks and gloves? Social distancing was a crucial piece of the puzzle too. Was there any regards to keeping as much distance as possible?

I mean that's great, but what's the ratio? 10%? 20%? 30%?

Masks are good for infected people to help control spread. They are not great at preventing being contaminated. You still can rub your eyes, your ears, etc.

A typical example of spreading would be an Infected person without a mask rubs their mouth and touches a railing. You touch the railing and despite your mask rub your eyes. You are now infected.

I think it's fair to say that people are more inclined to act on their emotions right now. That being said, its reasonable to believe that there are people in the crowd who have a high risk of being infected or are knowingly infected and are not following proper guidelines.

You are at a high risk of being infected. If you truly gave a shit, you would hard quarantine for two weeks.

You could not violate social distancing guidelines by finding alternative ways to use your freedom of speech rather than protest. Masks and gloves aren't enough. Social distancing was the glue that made it all work.

You cant use your argument when you violated your own safety before they did. I'm not pro-police, but come on.
