You are so right on. The sad thing is that the cynics are so loud and obnoxious that you can't even say half the stuff you did without being accused of "drinking the kool-aid" or some other ridiculous put down. I sometimes can't even believe that in my hand is a device that can access the vast sum of human knowledge in milliseconds. And one does not need to be a millionaire to have it!

Now that isn't to say we don't have major problems, and I'm thankful we have people like Matt Taibbi exposing corrupt monsters who exploit the system for their own personal gain. But within the scope of human history, things nowadays are pretty damn good.
