If you could give your Top 5 pieces of advice for someone going through this what would it be?

And what would be some good ideas for presents/gifts for someone in the hospital for so long?

That's only if you get hit by a company/someone with money, typically your average joe shmo doesn't have that much and insurance just covers the minimums, I think? So it's usually a lump sum and sometimes hospitals try and come after you for that if I'm correct?
