Should voters not be worried about politicians having a conflict of interest? Let's say you're a high salary employee at a bank and that job is waiting for you after politics. How can voters be sure you would vote in their interests regarding banking regulations, and not the interests of the company that will pay your bills?

Edit: Your decision not to answer this has been noted /u/tjade. I'll be ensuring it's spread as widely as possible within your district. Cheers.

Do you think you should have that in all states? Do you think it's appropriate for elected officials to have a job waiting for them if they fail to be reelected?

You're showing your age. Nixon was never convicted and yet he received a presidential pardon.

It actually doesn't, so long as those laws are enforced equally against foreign and domestic companies, and the government doesn't break any contracts in doing so (though the government can already be sued for this). It's a common misunderstanding about the ISDS that's unfortunately perpetuated by TPP opponents. There are legitimate reasons to oppose some trade deals, and trade deals in general; I wish opponents would stick with those rather than fear mongering and spreading lies.
