Except many cancers aren't genetic. Some are caused by pathogens (like HPV, or facial tumor disease in tasmanian devils), others by poor diet or lifestyle (like smoking), or by other factors like exposure to hazardous materials or radioactive substances. And cancers that are genetic sometimes don't appear until later in life, AFTER the affected individual has offspring, and often don't affect every generation in a paternal or maternal lineage. So shut up.
